Silver ion foam dressing is an antibacterial absorbent covering dressing. The structure is a soft hydrophilic polyurethane foam, and the backing is an elastic semi-permeable film. When absorbing exudate, silver ions are released for disinfection.

The gradual release of silver ions avoids the problem of excessive silver ion deposition, and the bactericidal activity of nano-scale silver ion particles is also improved, which is higher than the traditional dressing plus gentamicin in terms of bactericidal efficacy.

The bactericidal mechanism of silver ions is mainly based on the denaturation of bacterial proteins by heavy metal ions, which has the characteristics of broad-spectrum bactericidal and reducing the production of drug-resistant bacteria.
